A spokesman for the city of Berkeley said that a California worker passed away due to an on-the-job injury he suffered in an accident which involved a garbage truck. The spokesman says that two men were heading on their typical garbage pick-up route when the accident, which is still being investigated, took place.
The 52-year-old man who passed away was a Zero Waste division supervisor for the city of Berkeley and the city’s spokesman said that there were multiple factors that caused the accident. Also, the family of the man who passed away released a statement saying that funeral arrangements have not been made due to the continuing investigation surrounding the man’s death.
When a wrongful death occurs due to the negligence of another, those responsible for lost lives should be held accountable.
