From broken bones and medical expenses to lost lives, workplace accidents cause a myriad of hardships. Sometimes, these mishaps could have been prevented, such as accidents involving a drunk driver, careless co-worker or dangerous hazard that was left unaddressed. In San Bernardino, and other cities across the state of California, those who are struggling with the consequences of a work accident injury or fatality should consider all of their options.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is looking into an accident that recently claimed the life of an employee. Law enforcement officials say that a man who worked for a tree service company in Virginia lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle that belonged to the company.
The accident took place on private property at roughly 11:30 in the morning. Authorities do not believe his death is suspicious and have not provided the name of the worker who passed away at this time.
For many families, losing a loved one who was involved in a work accident is one of the most difficult and emotionally draining things they will ever face. To make the loss even more upsetting, some families have to live with knowing that the fatality could have been easily avoided. Even when employees don’t lose their lives, injuries they suffer at work can also make life tricky for their families. For anyone who is dealing with these types of problems on a personal level, it is critical to consider every option on the table. For some, consulting an attorney who knows how to handle these cases is useful.
