From broken bones and medical expenses to lost lives, workplace accidents cause a myriad of hardships. Sometimes, these mishaps could have been prevented, such as accidents involving a drunk driver, careless co-worker or dangerous hazard that was left unaddressed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is looking into an accident that recently claimed the life of an employee. Law enforcement officials say that a man who worked for a tree service company in Virginia lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle that belonged to the company.
The accident took place on private property at roughly 11:30 in the morning. Authorities do not believe his death is suspicious and have not provided the name of the worker who passed away at this time.
For many families, losing a loved one who was involved in a work accident is one of the most difficult and emotionally draining things they will ever face.
