From scaffolding falls to a mishap which involves defective equipment or machinery, construction workers have many risks to keep in mind. However, electrocution is a particularly dangerous threat that electricians in San Bernardino and other cities face on a regular basis in the state of California. Sometimes, construction workers are fortunate to walk away unscathed from an electrical accident. Tragically, many of these accidents have caused serious injuries and even claimed lives.
A California man who worked for a construction company recently lost his life in an on-the-job accident. The incident, which is being investigated by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health, occurred in San Francisco. At this point in time, officials believe that the man was electrocuted.
The company the man worked for said that he was working on a project involving tenant improvements when the mishap took place. The electrician, who was 45 years old, was declared dead at the accident site.
When families lose a loved one at work, it is important for them to assess all of their options and do everything in their power to recover. Sadly, the emotional pain that they experienec may never go away, but some families can gain access to compensation that will help them out tremendously. Furthermore, construction workers who are hurt while working may want to see if they are eligible for workers’ compensation benefits.
